School of Nursing Signs Memorandum of Agreement with School of Nursing at PolyU

On July 12th, 2022,Professor Mao Jing, Dean of the School of Nursing, Tongji Medical College of HUST successfully signed a Memorandum of Agreement (“MoA”) with Professor Alex MOLASIOTIS, Head of School of Nursing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University(“PolyU”). This MoA aims to consolidate the cooperative partnership, as well as to promote the complementary advantages and the synergistic development of nursing education.



The MoA specifies the support from both sides towards cooperation in scientific research, academics and education. With the goal of laying out a sustainable collaboration network to cultivate nursing talents with an international perspective. Both institutions will work together closely in various areas such as joint training of PhD in nursing, exchange of faculty and students, development of joint research center, and co-organization of seminars amongst others.



Founded in 1937, PolyU is a public comprehensive research university and the first institution to provide technical education in Hong Kong. PolyU is a member of the Beijing-Hong Kong Universities Alliance (BHUA), Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau University Alliance, Clinton Global Initiative University(CGIU), and University Alliance of Global Energy Interconnection (UAGEI). PolyU ranked 66th in the QS World University Rankings during 2021-2022 and 15th in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2022.The School of Nursing at PolyUis a pioneer in nursing education in Hong Kong, ranked 65th in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022(Nursing). It has been designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre for Community Health Services. School research focuses are Family and Community Health,Mental Health Care, Transitional, Supportive & Palliative Care, etc.

The School of Nursing, Tongji Medical College of HUST formally established a partnership with the School of Nursing at PolyU in 2005, with frequent exchanges between faculty and students. The two institutions have signed a contract of intent to cooperate with the Digital Health Center and jointly founded the China Higher Nursing Education Alliance to exchange knowledge and experience in nursing elites cultivation as well as developing international nursing education to meet the needs of society.
