On August 21, 2020，the 2019 Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) of China's medical colleges and hospitals was officially released. Academician CHEN Wang, Vice-President of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, explained and released the “2019 STEM Report of China’s Hospitals ” and the “2019 STEM Report of China's Medical Colleges ”. Union Hospital and Tongji Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology ranked 3rdand 4thnationwide respectively in nursing.
The STEM includes scientific and technological output, academic influence and scientific as well as technological conditions. The results will provide an important basis for the development of medical science and technology, discipline construction and resource allocation in the country and region. STEM attracted widespread attention from the society because of its scientific, objective, comprehensive, impartial, and other characteristics.
In recent years, with the support and the proper guidance of two affiliated hospital leaders and two nursing discipline leaders Liu Yilan and Wang Hui, nursing administrators, and professionals won several awards. They keep improving professional service capabilities, optimizing nursing service models, innovating and exploring to promote nursing through scientific research. Additionally, they achieved great results in improving patients' medical experience and satisfaction, and promoting the development of nursing disciplines. We will keep working hard, put people's safety and health first as always. At the same time, we will also make more contributions to nursing development and progress.
