2. Biography
Jie Li is currently an Associate Professor at School of Nursing, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. Jie Li has experience in teaching undergraduate students both in Chinese and in English. Her current responsibilities include teaching Introduction of Nursing, Fundamental of Nursing, and Gerontological Nursing in the nursing undergraduate program. She is passionate about the development of the next generation of nursing students, offering her extensive experience mentoring and advising graduate students, writing scholarly products, time management, workload management, grant writing, and study-life balance. As a research leader in gerontological nursing and health services, Dr. Li is committed to improving the quality and safety of long-term care for older adults, preventing frailty and promoting the services quality of long-term caregivers. She is a fellow of the Nursing Association of Hubei Province, the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, fellow of the expert tank of Nursing Education Association, Chinese Nursing Association. Jie Li has conducted studies to examine relationship among frailty, loneness, social support of elderly, improving the self-management pattern and quality of care outcomes of chronic disease.
